Siemens Website
I designed numerous Siemens webpages that cover the company’s offerings in industry, infrastructure, transportation, and healthcare. The below example is a page for Desigo Optic Building management software. I used a consistent visual framework for the pages but made each stand on their own with custom icons, visuals, infographics, interactive elements, and animations. It was critical that we understood and defined the benefits of each product or set of products to keep the pages focused. Key high-level points were kept at the top of the landing pages while more specific features and benefits were reserved for areas lower on the page. In instances where product managers wanted to provide in depth information on specific offerings, I built dedicated pages for those items.
One of the more in depth pages was a case study that focused on a specific building and how the technology performs in a real world scenario. Below is the case study page for the Memphis Renasant Convention Center. It features actual screenshots of the UI which gives users an idea of how the Desigo Optic software will work with their building. The page also features an infographic that covers the results of the building switching from an old system to a more sophisticated, automated system. Driving the benefits home are testimonials from building managers and other key personnel that demonstrate the benefits of incorporating Desigo Optic into their building management system. The user can download a PDF that gets into even more specifics on the case study.
ERCES Interactive Sales Tool
I created an interactive tool for Siemens’ Emergency Responder Communication Enhancement System (ERCES) that would explain how the solution works as well as some of the regulatory factors that affect its implementation. The goal was to create an interactive and dynamic sales tool that could be sent out via email and used on the web. The hover function allows the user to get more information about each element of ERCES, while they explore organically.
Desigo Automation App
The Desigo Automation App was developed for the product manager of the Desigo range of building devices and software. It allows the user to explore the different room control and automation devices that integrate with Desigo Optic software – which allows building managers to control devices and automate their building remotely from anywhere in the world. The challenge with this range of products was the sheer number of devices that are part of the solution. Grounding these devices with the building illustration gives some context to the greater story and allows users to explore the product line without ever losing sight of the bigger picture.
Vertical Inc. Website UI/UX
. The primary goal of the website was to generate B2B leads. We developed a video for the homepage to attract attention. What we found through initial user testing was that the introduction of the company’s 4 main offerings was getting lost beneath the video. I drafted some prototypes in Adobe XD to explore various user flows that could make the experience more engaging. The favored prototypes were the ones that provoked the most user engagement. The first concept below asks the user to answer a series of questions. The second concept would ask the user to type in answers which would be met with AI responses using Amazon Lex AI Engine. Both concepts offer improved engagement without diminishing ease of usability.
The first viable option was to ask a series of either-or questions that gradually lead the user to the page that best suits their needs.
The second option was to allow the user to type in their answer. Using AI from Amazon Lex, the user’s answer would trigger an appropriate response, leading them to the page best suited to their needs.
